Bystander | Street Photography Exhibition

The Gallery at Leica Store San Francisco is excited to announce its upcoming exhibition, Bystander, which opens June 4th to coincide with Streetfoto Festival 2018. The exhibition, inspired by the landmark street photography book, Bystander: A History of Street Photography by curator Colin Westerbeck and photographer Joel Meyerowitz, examines the genre of street photography through the eyes of nearly fifty photographers. The exhibition will comprise early iconic prints alongside recent work by artists who are actively photographing on the streets today in San Francisco and abroad.

Based On A True Story – A Workshop with Gus Powell

In this workshop Gus Powell will explore the narrative and poetic potential of 
photography and the photobook. He will discuss making images that come out of
 a tradition of street photography, that are then used to make work and books that
