Leica Store San Francisco is excited to announce a unique one-day workshop with Agence VU' photographer and educator Darcy Padilla (her last workshop was in 2019). The goal of this workshop is to help photographers in finding their personal vision to produce a meaningful portfolio or body of work. Whether you are beginning or professional; starting, working or finishing a project. Photographers will receive in-depth critiques, constructive discussion, and photographic references to further their work. This will be an engaging day of photography and a great way to get to know others in the photo community.
Getting your photography out into the world - off a computer screen and into someone's hands - doesn't have to be an expensive or time-consuming process. Self-publishing a small book, or zine, of your photos has never been easier. Whether used as a first foray into a larger publishing project, a one-off way to launch a body of work or a regular exercise as part of your photographic process, making a zine offers a versatile and fun way to get your work published.
Leica Store San Francisco is excited to host a two-day workshop this fall in collaboration with photographer and photo editor Mark Murrmann. This hands-on workshop will explore the fundamentals of photo zine making.
Join us for a weekend at the Michelin star restaurant Mister Jiu's and their cocktail bar Moongate lounge, as we take you into the world of Food Photography with professional food photographer, Jim Sullivan.
Led by Chef Brandon and his team, we will have exclusive access to behind the scenes of this Michelin star restaurant during the workshop. Participants will get to photograph a professional kitchen as it prepares for service.
Jim will help you understand the aspects of food photography, the concepts and the techniques used in creating this art form. He will also be covering the business skills needed to be a successful freelance food photographer. Leading the workshop with his Leica SL2, Jim will teach this workshop and connect participants with professionals across the industry.
While on location at each location, Jim will walk you through his usual set up and style of working. In addition, he will teach you how professional kitchens are run and how to work with the team.
