Juggling is Easy: A Special Book Night with Peggy Nolan

Tuesday, May 2nd, 6-8 PM

Leica Store San Francisco is excited to introduce you to artist Peggy Nolan for a special night in celebration of her latest monograph Juggling is Easy , published by the Bay Area publisher TBW Books!

Peggy Levison Nolan (b.1944) raised her seven children in the Miami area, mostly in Naranja and Hollywood, Florida. With ardent dedication and unflinching adaptability, Nolan and her family lived in working-class neighborhoods, alongside other families who became a source of support and occasionally served as her muses. Nolan’s photographs are personal, and yet they tap into our collective nostalgia of family, young love, and boundless joy while recording a family’s resiliency amidst economic and social challenges.

This special event will be formed with an artist lecture, an artist conversation, and book signing. Joining Nolan for the conversation will be the Fisher Collection collector Abner Nolan, and the Assistant Curator of Photography of SFMOMA Shana Lopes.

Where: Leica Store San Francisco

When: Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023. 6:00 – 8:00 pm PDT (conversation starts on 6:30 pm)
