M7 TI & Half a Century of M
The Leica '50 Jahre' Titanium M7 camera with matching 50mm f1.4 Summilux M ASPH lens certainly stands out as one of Leica's most beautiful editions.
In regards to the 50 year anniversary of the Leica M, former CEO of Leica Camera AG Hanns-Peter Cohn said it best "50 Years Leica M means fifty years of system compatibility in times when product life cycles are becoming ever shorter, fifty years of manual craftsmanship in a period of increasing automation and fifty years of value retention in an era of spreading short-term thinking."
Currently, our Leica Store in San Francisco has acquired one pre-owned limited edition set numbered 147 of 500. With the positive attributes of the M7 mechanical specifications, the titanium top and bottom plate enhance the overall ergonomics significantly by lightening the M7 by 3 ounces in comparison to its regular production counterpart. The M7 and lens also feature a super rugged silicon dioxide coating which deters fingerprints.
The M7 titanium launched in 2004 in two kits. This M7 with matching 50mm Summilux ASPH lens or the M7 with matching 28mm Summicron-M ASPH, 50mm, Summilux-M ASPH, and 90mm APO Summicron-M. The larger of the two sets is limited to 50 sets.
This beautiful Leica '50 Jahre' Titanium M7 camera with matching 50mm f/1.4 Summilux-M ASPH lens is one of the most stunning special editions Leica has made over the years and is currently available at Leica Store San Francisco.
