The Leica 28mm f1.4 Summilux ASPH was the final piece to round out Leica wide-angle Summilux line. It features a "floating element" that optimizes performance and ensures sharpness at close distances. It also creates a distinct visual signature through its shallow depth of field and high sharpness in the focal plane.
Leica has announced two Summicron lenses for the Leica SL system that position themselves as more accessible and lightweight options to the APO-Summicron-SL lenses—introducing the Leica 50mm f2.0 Summicron-SL ASPH and 35mm f2.0 Summicron-SL ASPH. In addition, Leica has announced bundles with these respective new lenses and the already existing 24-70mm f2.8 bundles currently available.
