The Summilux-M lenses are considered the highest quality fast primes on the market. Engineered and built by the optical specialists in Wetzlar, Germany the Summilux is crafted with the utmost care. The 24mm Summilux-M F/1.4 renders images with natural colors, fantastic sharpness, and high contrast. The Summilux also features floating rear element making correcting for close focus and sharpening frame edges. The Summilux also features an Aspherical lens giving the Summilux lenses the least amount of optical issues such as aberrations which are common in some fast primes.
Fit and Finish
Despite advanced optical engineering, wide-angle, and F/1.4 maximum aperture, the 24mm Summilux-M is not incredibly large. The Summilux is very convenient for regular carrying and shooting, and balances very well with the Leica M cameras. Built to last a lifetime, the 21mm Summilux-M features a black anodized finish giving this lens an extremely durable coating. An additional hood is provided with 21mm Summilux-M along with leather case.
