The 21mm Summilux-M F/1.4 renders images with natural colors, fantastic sharpness, and high contrast. The Summilux also features floating rear element making correcting for close focus and sharpening frame edges. The Summilux also features an Aspherical lens giving the Summilux lenses the least amount of optical issues such as aberrations which are common in some fast primes.
Fit and Finish
Despite all the advanced optical engineering, wide-angle, and F/1.4 maximum aperture, the 21mm Summilux-M is not incredibly large. The Summilux is very convenient for regular carrying and shooting, and balances very well with the Leica M cameras. Built to last a lifetime, the 21mm Summilux features a black anodized finish giving this lens an extremely durable coating. An additional hood is provided with 21mm Summilux-M along with leather case.
