Leica M10-P Digital Rangefinder
Minimalism is the leading characteristic of the Leica M. Minimalism makes the M unassuming to the people around it, and simple to use for the photographer behind it. The discrete and simple engineering and makeup of the Leica M have long attracted photographers. The Leica M10-P was crafted with the utmost attention to detail so that attention would not be drawn to the camera itself.
The M10-P takes the M10 form and function to a new level of elegance and refinement. The primary difference between the M10 and M10-P is the M10-P's new - and completely redesigned mechanical shutter mechanism. The M10-P's shutter mechanism has been engineered to be the quietest and most discrete shutter ever to be put in the Leica M. The Leica M10-P shutter doesn't only remain silent but offers a positive mechanical feedback in the hand of the photographer. The unassuming nature of the M10-P continues with the omission of the red dot on the front of the camera as well as the classic Leica script engraving on the top plate. The Leica M10-P does not only bring aesthetic and audible refinements to the form and function but also technological improvements. New to the M10-P is the inclusion of a touch-sensitive screen to aid in the review, live view capture and focus control. The level of control on the rear display allows the photographer to quickly review and capture images from the screen without fussing with buttons on dials. Also new to the rear screen is the inclusion of an integrated digital level gauge making those symmetrical shots easier. The M10-P is a step forward in refinement. With every M camera there comes an incremental but very important and calculated change. The M10-P embodies the core philosophies of the form and function of the M system and elevates that model to an entirely new level.
